Streetgang were from moss side. We were a disco funk band, we were on the books of L E Agency in I believe Wigan, from whom we got to work all over the UK. We also worked in jersey and Holland which we toured 4 to 6 times, ten days duration. We also toured Norway for a month through an agency based in Warrington Cheshire. I cannot remember the name of the Agency, it may have been Highway agency, ? we were well liked as a band because we were not a typical black band that was totally influenced by American soul and funk we also brought West Indian reggae music and British rock influences. We also put on very exciting visual show which included dance, choreographed Kung Fu fight, fireworks, lights and so on. We were between an 5 to 8 piece band as at one time we had a brass section.

“I found Geese on Back Pool Fold in 1985 when I went to buy a ticket for The Boardwalk Christmas party (James and The Railway Children) as this is where they were being sold! I'd hunted everywhere for a polo neck jumper, only finding them in old men's shops...but of course Geese had them. Such a cool shop”

“This was produced around 1983-4. I was a proud contributor and helped pull this together along with Ian Butterworth (Tunnelvision, Vee VV, Section 25), Steve Farmery (The Membranes, Mark Riley & The Creepers), Dave Crabtree (One Way System) and Roger Wilkley (Section 25), along with possibly Chris Shea (lyric writer for some of Tunnelvision’s songs). Apologies to other contributors I may have forgotten.”

“I was there and the support band was Mr Big who were better than Queen on the night, which was a disappointment as the lost their edge from the previous album”
